From time to time, YAAARC hosts training sessions on building and/or programming robots like the Janbot and motor controllers like the Y3MD. We often finish up with a little contest, sometimes with a prize.

Our own Dr. George Albercook runs a weekend, winter break, spring break and summer camp for kids who want to learn robotics. So send them to Rocks & Robots Summer Camp. His robots are based on the Flutterbot kit.
