Y3MD
From YAAARC
Version 0.1 Y3MD, Yaaarc's 3rd motor controller design
Contents |
[edit] Introduction
This motor controller was designed to serve the needs of controlling bigger motors, such as those used in the PowerWheels Jeeps. Even a Lego Mindstorms RCX could be interfaced to it.
[edit] Bill of Materials
- Parts list for the 20 Amp version
- Note, this is called 30 amps some places, but the back of my envelope says it will overheat and die at 30 amps, unless some extra cooling is added. Change MOSfets for ones that operate at high current at high temperature to avoid that issue.
- PS2501-4-ND NEC quad opto isolator.
- Q2, Q4 IRLZ44N-ND N Channel MOSfet .022 Ohms 47 Amps
- Q1, Q3, P Channel MOSfet IRF5305-ND 0.06 Ohms 31 Amps
- HS104-2-ND TO-220 Heatsink
